APRS

CARS operates three APRS digipeaters. W4HRS, W1GRE, KQ4G, and others also provide coverage in the lowcountry.

The WA4USN-5 digi on the USS Yorktown also provides iGate functionality, with RF->IS and IS->RF service. This means that you can send messages to and from the internet and connect with users across the globe.

For example send the message “ISS” to WA1GOV-10 and you will receive pass information for the International Space Station at your location (or wherever aprs.fi thinks you are).
